Counselling is a more generic term which can incorporate most of the talking therapies. However
counselling is also a type of therapy in its own right. It involves listening with new perspective and can
help you find ways to deal with emotional issues. These issues can be about changes in life
situations, loss in relationships, bereavement or just trying to understand what life brings to us and our reactions to
this. Bereavement is often a time when we need support to move through the process and find new perspectives.
